Résumé :  (…) As no such work has previously been done in France, we thought it was of interest to study a spider community from a quantitative point of view, in order to determine its specific structure and its spatio-temporal characteristics. The chestnut forest of Montmorency (about 20 km NW of Paris) was chosenand the work was done in the « Reserve de Bois-Corbon » with the permission of the « Office National des Forêts ». The complete work, with a population dynamics study of Macrargus rufus Wider (Christophe, 1974). In the present paper we report only the main results concerning the spider community.
